Jubilee Cowboy Concert and Dinner : July 25, 2009 - The culminating event held at Liberty Oaks Ranch in Tenaja, California, in the hills above Murrieta - Attendees experienced the musical genres of a little bit of Bluegrass, Country Gospel, and Western. Performances were by Grammy-Nominated Don Edwards and Colorado's premier family band Sons and Brothers. Master of Ceremonies was Joel Reese. A delicious Cowboy cusine chuck wagon dinner was enjoyed by all. Western artisans and displays surrounded the grounds, a live auction by Richard Johnson prior to the musicians performances and a concluding silent auction raised some important funds for the Children's Education Programs at the Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve.

Walk/Hike to Historical Adobes : July 24, 2009 - We walked the Hidden Valley Trail at the Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve to the historic Adobe Ranch and Native American garden site. Reserve Interpreter Rob Hicks and other trail leaders made the Plateau come alive with their knowledge of the history, plants, and animals. These images show the beauty and ecological diversity of the spectacular Reserve. The historic Adobe structures, the oldest in Riverside County, are generally not open to the public, but we were able to enter these fragile dwellings and be transformed back in time to hear about the Plateau's ranch history beginning with the Spanish/Mission period. We experienced acoustic western music that the ranch hands might have sung around the capfire, performed by Murrieta's own recording artist and "Singing Cowboy" Joel Reese.
